Hello Trevor,
I love the timbre you get on your Precision, what strings do you use on it and how often do you change them?
And by the way what do you think about flatwound strings?

MY ANSWER:

I switch but for the most part I keep Labella flatwounds on my Pbass. Heavy gauge. It’s the classic Jamerson combo. My favorite round wounds, which I’ve used for many years, are D’Addario XLs, also heavy gauge. Sometimes I’ll uses those on my Pbass depending on the style of music. Unless I’m touring a lot in a heavy rock band where bright strings are kind of necessary I rarely change strings. I like the somewhat dead, less defined tone in general.
