There are many musicians, big and small, who revere the music Mr Bungle made. The fanbase is hardcore and still very active. I'm sure people still ask you all the time about a reunion. Why do you think Mr. Bungle has such a lasting legacy? What drives people to love your band so much?

MY ANSWER:

I have no idea. Bungle fans are a unique lot. Maybe people are attracted to irreverence and independence. Maybe it’s a vicarious relationship. I can’t know for sure. I do believe the luck we had with timing and exposure has something to do with it. We could have easily disappeared into the mire of weirdo bands if it wasn’t for having our logo blasted all over MTV in the pre-social-media age.
