I played three different basses on this recording. It's always fun to search for the right instrument in the studio, letting the music inform many, if not all, of ones decisions. Sometimes the solutions to problems are obvious, other times it's the opposite. When you're kicking out a disc of exotica, surf, world music, latin jazz, rock and film music in two days, it's nothing if not entertaining.
