Needless to say, I'm quite honored to be a part of this band. We have been playing occasionally at Tonic in NYC and in various towns in Europe. This CD is the 4th release on Zorn's 50th Birthday Celebration series which was recorded live at Tonic. As a bass player this is one of the funnest live bands I've ever been a part of. It's never a problem finding a groove with these amazing drummers and I have quite a lot of freedom to mess around with the written bass lines. I play my '75 Fender P/bass and since I've been listening to a lot of James Jamerson lately I try to keep old strings on.
