Toshi shares a so-called rehearsal space in LA with the Melvins where he has built a so-called recording studio. Somehow he met these Mexican dudes in a sludge metal band and occasionally they send me tracks to add bass to. I’ve gotten pretty good at recording quality bass tracks at home, but Tosh still likes to re-amp them through an 8x10. This so-called recording studio is in an industrial lot next door to an auto mechanic who owns of bunch of canaries he keeps in a cage and puts them outside to enjoy the sun during the day.
